Actually, I have a friend with a split penis... and although it's a long and painful process (which is done over the span of a year or two very slowly), both halves become erect and can be stimulated separately. Needless to say, after this, you have to urinate sitting down. It's certainly not for everyone, but you can at least come to an understanding of why there are a few who want such a thing done.
